Abbot controversy: police to set up 'divide and rule' abuse team

The police may set up a permanent team to investigate allegations of white people being accused of liking divide and rule.

Met Commissioner Bernard Cribbins said: “We want to redouble our efforts in this area.

“Our failure is a scar on the police force and a festering sore in our society. There is pretty much nothing worse than being accused of liking divide and rule, especially when you find out what it means.”

Victim Ashley Tate says millions of white people are affected every year.

He said: “Many white people do not realise they have been insulted as the abuse takes a long time to say and does not really make a lot of sense.”

Offenders face long jail terms and rehabilitation programmes.

One such offender Dian Abbott said: “To suggest white people do anything is bad is racist. They have suffered for so long with good education and fairness, I am sorry I compounded that.”
