Dalglish admits taking Tory managed decline memo literally

Kenny Dalglish has said that managing the decline of Liverpool FC despite spending lots of cash has been very hard.

He said: "People assume that this manage decline is an easy business but I can tell you it is not. I had to look long and hard to find a player as bad as Jordan Henderson. To persuade Sunderland that our £20m bid was not a joke was incredibly hard.

"People thought we could not top that and then we went and bought Stewart Downing."

Dalglish has lambasted journalists who have questioned his wisdom.

Wearing another weird T shirt, Dalglish said: "Some people like all this fancy Dan passing nonsense but working class people just want to see corners. You go down the pub and find anyone who would disagree with me."
